John Obonyo

 

With a background in Engineering, automated Control systems and destination management, John brings a lot of valuable contribution to The organization. He has led engineering projects in Kenya And South Sudan as a projects developer and manager Manager. John  has handled many projects in different fields spanning over 30 years, including Telecomunication Infrastrure, road systems, Water sytems, IT systems  and others.  He has also taken vital leadership positions in developing international relations with the Counties of The former Eastern Europe, engaging in Business development between those countries and East Africa.

John is one of the founders and Establishers of Environmental Concern Collective. He is the Excutive Director of the organization.

Ronald Elly Wanda

 

Ronald Elly Wanda is a transdisciplinary scholar and Africa analyst whose work spans politics, development, culture, and environmental sustainability. With over two decades of experience, he critically engages the intersections of climate change, fragile ecosystems, indigenous knowledge, and socio-political transformation, advancing Afrikology as a framework for climate resilience, governance, and cultural regeneration.

He holds a B.A. in Politics and International Development Studies (Middlesex University), an M.A. in Human Rights (Birkbeck College, University of London), an M.A. in Governance and Ethics (Mount Kenya University), an M.A. in Political Science and Public Administration (University of Nairobi), and is pursuing a DPhil in Political Science in South Africa.

Currently Senior Research Fellow and Head of Research and Innovation at the Prospect Peace Institute–Africa and Founder of Grundtvig Africa House, he has also collaborated with KIPPRA to coordinate multidisciplinary research. A member of CIoJ, NUJ, and BIEA, Wanda integrates scholarship, advocacy, and journalism to highlight Africa’s cultural heritage and its role in shaping equitable and sustainable futures.

Charles Barber

 

Charles Barber is a licensed General Building Contractor (El Paso County, License A-122, Unlimited) with a B.S. in Industrial Construction Management and a minor in Mathematics from Colorado State University. He specializes in reinforced concrete systems for stormwater and sanitary sewer infrastructure, temperature-controlled concrete, and precast catch basins.

With skills in AutoCAD 3D design, Charles also explores innovative applications for communication and environmental research, including magnetic declination tracking. Outside of work, he enjoys home gardening and landscaping. He values respect, equality, and Christian ethics in both personal and professional life.

Richard Linder

 

Richard has  18 years of IT experience, and 12 years systems experience. He's interested in integrated circuits, 3D printing, and automation. He holds the following IT credentials:  CASP+ (s, S+, N+, Server+, A+, MCP, AZ/MS/SC/AI-900, CLO-002

Joseph Saxon

Joseph Saxon, from Kochi, India, is a highly experienced HVAC Mechanic with over 13 years of international experience, including nearly a decade working on U.S. Army bases in Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Iraq. He holds an EPA Universal Certification, a valid U.S. B1/B2 visa, and multiple safety certifications including HAZWOPER and Lockout–Tagout. A former KBR employee, Joseph has a proven record in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems for both military and commercial environments, working with major brands such as Carrier, Trane, Samsung, and O’General. Skilled in troubleshooting, electrical wiring, and system diagnostics, he is recognized for his technical expertise, teamwork, and adaptability in challenging field conditions.  

Mr. Moses Onyango Opiyo

 

Moses Onyango Opiyo is a structural and civil engineer currently serving as the Chairman of the Department of Civil Engineering at Kenyatta University, where he has lectured since 2012. He holds an MSc in Civil, Structural, and Industrial Engineering and is a registered Graduate Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya. In addition to his academic leadership, which includes coordinating examinations and library committees, he has worked as a Consultant Engineer for Millele Enterprises Construction Company since 1996 and previously served as Technical Manager for Macson Construction Co.

His technical portfolio encompasses forensic engineering, structural audits, and infrastructure design. Notable projects include the design of the Tier 4 Data Center at the Olkaria Geothermal power plant and the structural design of steel structures for Corn Products Industries. His research focuses on building failure analysis, the impact of ground vibrations on structures, and low-cost housing utilizing stabilized soil blocks. He has presented multiple papers at National Construction Authority conferences and authored a book on research proposal writing. 

Travis Gray

 

Mr Gray has over 25 years as a professional archaeologist and 30 years as a professional surveyor. He has worked in the Antarctic as part of the Ross Ice Shelf Project see attached photo as well as throughout much of the United States, the Virign Islands, Kenya, the Marhshall Islands, Iraq and Suadi Arabia.
